A commitment to help the aged live well
The Eastern Star Foundation is a philanthropic foundation whose focus is helping to improve outcomes for the aged in Queensland.
Our history of caring for older members of Queensland’s communities dates back to 1954, when a group of Order of the Eastern Star members established the organisation with a mission to provide a home for their older members. The organisation later became an aged and community care provider, known as Star Aged Living and based at Beaudesert in Queensland, before that business was sold in 2018.
Established as a foundation in 2019, the organisation’s activities are underpinned by its values of dignity, independence and hope. Through our partnerships with charities and other philanthropists, we help older members of Queensland’s communities to:
